Premis recently completed refurbishment work on the Queensland Department of Housing and Public Works, Building And Asset Services Department based in Rockhampton as the office was relocating from level 2 to level 3.
The premises on level 3 were completely stripped out so the new office could be fitted out for the BAS department. The aim was to provide a much more user friendly space. Mode Architecture worked closely with the client to translate the design taken from features, forms, textures, patterns and colours of the distinct environment to take you on a journey as you move through the space.
The interior fitout is a contemporary work model with an open plan layout which features pods of sit-to-stand work stations and flexible collaborative areas. Quiet rooms have also been included as an alternative to the open environment.
