Radiology Fitouts In Hospitals

Hospital refurbishments can be some of the most complicated construction projects to manage. All radiology fitouts require a comprehensive program that takes into account – air quality, flooring materials and live conditions. The provision of specialist machinery and equipment in particular involves the coordination of a number of factors.

A hospital environment often requires an upgrade as health codes and regulations are transitional by nature. Impending changes in hospital requisites may demand reconfiguration of equipment and space, or bringing the facility and technology into line with industry standards. Most of the time, it’s a combination of the two.  Considering the live, sensitive and constant nature of hospital environments, a decision to commence construction in any facility is taken into consideration by all stakeholders. Projects can be delivered in stages that reduce impact to the operations of the hospital as much as possible.

Premis Solutions has recently successfully delivered radiology fitouts and a number of other projects for Redcliffe Hospital.  Redcliffe’s radiology suite involved the provision of a new CT Scanner and specialist X-Ray machinery in an upgrade refurbishment.

Robina Hospital’s medical imaging redesign is currently being delivered in three stages. Stage one involved the delivery of the facility’s new patient holding area, which included the provision for new cannulation chairs, while stage two involved the installation of the CT Scanner.   Premis is currently in the process of delivering the third and final stage of the project for Robina Hospital, which will include the upgrade of the X-Ray and Mammography areas for new machinery.

Both environments weren’t without their challenges, but have been managed and executed successfully on time and on budget.
