Premis has recently been commissioned to deliver a 3 storey build and refurbishment at Griffith University, Nathan campus. The project will involve refurbishment of all three levels of the Allied Health building, a new build portion on the roof podium and the construction of a 3 storey internal stair structure to link each floor of the building.
The project will be delivered in 2 stages to minimise disruption to staff and students. Works will be undertaken concurrently across all levels of the building, with demolition, structural work and fitout being undertaken simultaneously to fast track the project.
Refurbishment works will include the fitout of a suite of offices across two floors, research rooms and studios, landscaping of the internal courtyard as well as the installation of new chilled water pumps and fire systems for the building. A terrace roof, internal stairs and a new lift will also be installed as part of the project.
The project is the latest in the build and refurbishment projects Premis has undertaken at Griffith University, including the delivery of six scientific laboratories, the fitout of two inter-campus flipped classrooms for the Business School, and the current construction of an anatomy lab.
The project will commence in late October, with the first stage to be completed in mid February ready for the 2018 intake of Allied Health students. The second stage is due for completion in late 2018.
Premis looks forward to once again working closely with Griffith University in delivering another purpose-built facility for its staff and students.
