Premis Project: Queensland Police HQ

Premis Solutions is delivering a refurbishment of the Queensland Police Headquarters Forensics Unit at Roma Street, Brisbane City. The project involves a complete refurbishment of the existing facility and is Premis’ biggest project to date.

The project site includes forensics, instrument and video laboratories, a high acoustics audio room, general office plus four training rooms and requires careful coordination of management systems, ingress and egress, air quality standards and contamination control.

Premis is delivering the project in a staged programme to minimise disruption to police operations as much as possible.  Premis’ working knowledge of completing construction within similar live environments ensures the unit’s ability to maintain business continuity throughout all phases.

The methodology implemented identifies potential risks and challenges as early as possible and allows for Level 4 Forensics Occupants to work alongside an active construction site with demarcation and cordoning between construction and staff. The staged programme has been developed with unique electrical, mechanical and hydraulic specifications in mind.

We are delighted to be working with the Queensland Police on this substantial project.
