Premis recently completed a refurbishment and services upgrade at Moranbah Hospital in central Queensland.
The project scope included the installation of an updated water supply system, flooring replacement throughout the entire hospital, the provision of updated joinery, rewiring and lighting upgrade, ceiling tile replacement and suspended ceilings throughout the hospital corridors.
Due to the nature of working in a live environment, steps were taken to cause minimal disruption to the hospital’s operations and relocating departments to complete each stage of the project. Working in this manner required constant communication to ensure that all parties were aware of how the construction could affect their area of operation.
This project was undertaken in 4 stages. The first two stages concentrated on the refurbishment of 12 wards, the third stage involved upgrading the laundry and staff offices. The fourth and final stage included the refurbishment of the X-ray, reception, waiting room and ED Department areas.
Premis looks forward to delivering additional rural hospital projects in the future.
