Recently Premis Solutions was engaged to fitout a community health clinic located in South Brisbane. The client, Micah Projects is a not-for-profit organisation, and their vision was to create a clinic that meets the healthcare needs of people in the community who are struggling to access mainstream medical and dental services.
Premis worked closely with the client to deliver an open, welcoming space with warm lighting features. The site has two levels and two entrances which were built into the design to maximise accessibility. The community health space has been designed to be flexible and allows for future expansion of a 2nd dental room and additional temporary dental chairs.
The final layout of the clinic included two dentist suites, lower and upper reception areas, staff offices and facilities area, two medical examination rooms, one therapy consult room plus an alternative therapy suite and storage room at the premises in South Brisbane. The project required installation of new partitions, ceilings and flooring and updated electrical cabling, lighting, drainage and water pipework.
