Premis recently completed a commercial interior fitout for the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a leading member-based organisation in Eagle Street, Brisbane.
The project involved fitting out workspace areas, training rooms, reception, member lounge, kitchen and staff areas. The goal of the design was to provide a vibrant destination for business and the community to connect, reflect, imagine and design a new way of working.
HASSELL Architects designed the concierge and member’s lounge to encompass a variety of work settings – an external terrace, casual settings, meeting rooms and breakout areas that maximise fabulous views of the Brisbane River and the Story Bridge.
The design was influenced by simplified, decisive geometry similar to the Bahaus design era, as well as incorporating touch points to acknowledge leadership as a layered responsibility of the ‘big picture strategy’ and ‘human-centred’ ethics.
The soft and neutral palette was designed to stand the test of time and celebrates the iconic architecture of the Riverside Centre.
The fitout is a functional, practical workspace with easy access to training facilities and the Member Lounge to complement the connection between each other and AICD’s members.
