New Industrial-Look Gallery for Judith Wright Centre

Premis recently completed refurbishment work at the Arts Qld – Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts.

The work included fitting out a stripped-out restaurant area and updating to a modern industrial space for use as a gallery.

New walls were added in the new gallery and the glass door entrance was refurbished.  The flooring now has an edgy concrete surface with state-of-the art track lighting to showcase upcoming projections of Queensland art.  The Premis team also installed window light boxes to promote the current gallery exhibitions.

The Institute of Modern Art (IMA) is a long-time tenant at Judith Wright Centre and they currently have an exhibition in the IMA Belltower by Mandy Quadrio, “The Country Within’, 2019, kelp, ochre, beeswax and string.

Premis has delivered many projects for Arts Queensland and looks forward to working with them again in the future.
