A key feature of a high-rise office is an expansive view. Designing an interior fitout to capitalise on a building’s location – whether it be riverside or an urban setting – is essential to take full advantage of the sweeping views typically on offer.
Premis has undertaken a number of commercial interior fitout projects in Brisbane’s CBD and surrounding areas. Below are three refurbishments delivered by Premis that incorporate distinctive design features to maximise panoramic views.
Premis recently completed a commercial interior fitout for the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a leading member-based organisation in Eagle Street, Brisbane. HASSELL Architects designed the concierge and member’s lounge to encompass a variety of work settings – an external terrace, casual settings, meeting rooms and breakout areas that maximise fabulous views of the Brisbane River and the Story Bridge.
The brief for this project demanded an innovative, ‘out of the box’ approach. The innovative design - by architect Angus Munro - utilises many features to give a sense of comfort in an open design setting. Walking through the space enlightens your senses with various themes and panoramic elements easily embraced by both staff and visitors. Premis managed the project both as construction manager and builder working with both the client and architect from concept through to completion.
This fitout was designed to co-locate 250 personnel that had previously been spread across older tenancies around the greater Brisbane area. With sweeping views of the evolving Bowen Hills urban precinct, this 3000sqm ABW/ hybrid workplace offers collaborative and solo work setting options to promote efficiency.
