A record year for Premis
Appreciative of the continued support from long-term clients, Premis is proud to record its best year yet.
“The recognition of our high levels of service from repeat customers has been remarkable,” says Managing Director Rod Phillips.
“When we opened for business in 2006, we had a firm strategy for long-term success,” Rod explains. “The strong growth we’ve enjoyed in this difficult economic year tells us that our clients trust us to deliver.
“We’re very pleased to have developed such good relationships and look forward to maintaining them well into the future.”
Much of the growth in Premis’ turnover can be attributed to increased work in university environments. IA Group, Griffith University, PDT Architect, and Design Nest represent a few of Premis’ best repeat clients in the last 12 months.
Premis successfully delivered over 100 projects in 2009—2010. Among the many projects near, or in excess of 1000m2, which Premis is most proud of, are:
- The 2500m2 Centrelink fitout (completed in just over one week),
- The Griffith University Business School at Nathan campus,
- The internal refurbishment of Heritage listed A Block at QUT, an
- The fitout and coordination of client’s contractors for Brisbane City Council’s new Western Region Business Centre.
“We’ve also particularly enjoyed working on some of the more unique fitout projects,” says Premis Director of Estimating, Imco Peereboom.
The unique smaller projects Premis completed last year include the innovative 70m2 student learning centre for UQ’s Social Sciences faculty, Ministerial & Parliamentary Services refurbishments in Waterfront Place, SS&H Library in UQ’s Duhig building, the Benevolent Society’s new fitout in West End, and IA Group’s office refurbishment.
A number of other profile projects are currently nearing completion and will be highlighted in future Premis newsletters.
